Morning With Jesus

We often think about legacy in terms of bank accounts, family heirlooms, or the impressive achievements written on a tombstone. We work hard to leave something tangible behind, hoping our loved ones will remember our success long after we are gone. Yet, the most powerful legacy we can ever pass down has nothing to do with money or earthly accomplishments. It lives in the quiet moments we choose faith over fear, the times we extend grace instead of judgment, and the genuine love we pour into the people around us. These small, faithful choices shape the hearts of future generations far more deeply than any inheritance ever could.

Few wounds cut as deeply as the realization that someone took advantage of you. Maybe a friend leaned on your kindness only to disappear when you needed them most. Perhaps a coworker took credit for your hard work, or someone you trusted treated your generosity as a tool for their own gain. When we allow ourselves to truly see this immense need, our natural response is often a heavy mix of profound sadness and quiet helplessness.

Walking into a new church often brings a mix of hope and quiet hesitation. We naturally look for a friendly congregation, a comfortable seat, and worship music that deeply moves our hearts. While these elements bring immense joy, the true foundation of any lasting spiritual home rests entirely on the unshakeable truth of God's Word. When a church faithfully teaches the Bible, it firmly anchors its people in deep, abiding faith. We desperately need a community that does not shy away from difficult passages or simply tells us what we want to hear. We need pastors and teachers who gently but clearly guide us back to the cross every single week.

Giving feels effortless when our cups overflow, but it becomes incredibly challenging when we feel stretched thin. Financial stress, emotional exhaustion, and limited time can easily make us want to hold tightly to whatever we have left. When our resources dwindle, panic steps in quickly. We worry that offering help to someone else will leave us completely empty and vulnerable. This natural reaction makes total sense, yet it often keeps us from experiencing a profound spiritual blessing designed to strengthen our faith.
